Your health, and the health of our team is our first priority:
The CDC recommends that individuals and businesses engage in social distancing practices. While we have taken extra sanitizing precautions within our office to help provide a safe environment, you have the option to perform your scheduled reviews via our secure video conference system as well as phone meetings. In office staff presence is limited to protect the safety of everyone and do our part to stop the spread so please be patient with us.
Things you might not know:
FWA maintains and tests emergency plans on an annual basis - our version of a Fire Drill. Annually, we simulate emergency situations that could unexpectedly force the entire FWA team to operate without our existing facilities. Over the years we have developed advanced systems that allow us to operate the entire branch remotely while maintaining secure books and records.
FWA's fully functioning “virtual office”:
Our phone systems, archived records, order entry systems, cash distributions, contributions and many other critical financial activities can be handled by our team for you, without you ever having to leave your home. This is a great solution during times like this.
I’m sharing this to provide the comfort and confidence that regardless of how this situation unfolds our firm has been prepared for many years to handle such an event.
Do the markets have the virus?
In a way, COVID-19 has “infected” markets all around the world. In times of market uncertainty, some traders believe the best approach is to sell. Fear is driving decisions. Nobody would blame you if this uncertainty gave you a bit of anxiety, as well.
This may be the time you need a trusted financial professional most. It is best to resist making emotional short-term decisions. By working with your advisor to develop an investment strategy that fits your risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals, you have already been preparing to weather turbulence.
Here to support you!
Remember, we are here to help you and your family during this time. Whatever decisions you make, please allow us to support you through them. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
We are here to help you navigate through uncertain periods, even during “social distancing.” While many of us are collectively pausing face-to-face contact, there are plenty of other ways of staying connected. We would love to hear from you, so please feel free to reach out via email or phone anytime, for any reason.
We’re in this together, and we’ll come out of it together.
